AEW Double Or Nothing results: CM Punk is the AEW World Heavyweight Champion

In the main event of AEW Double Or Nothing, CM Punk challenged “Hangman” Adam Page for the AEW World Championship.

Late in the match, Punk applied the sniper after blocking the Buckshot Lariat twice. Page reached the bottom rope to break the sniper. Moments later, Punk landed a Buckshot and was booed by the fans because his leg buckled before hitting the Lariat.

Hangman fought back with a powerbomb and Deadeye and Punk came out. Punk got away from a GTS try, but Page caught him on the second try and Page almost scored the pin on Punk. They hit forearms and kicks and then the match spilled over to ringside, Page ramming Punk into the timekeeper’s table. Page attempted the Buckshot Lariat, but Punk responded with a GTS attempt, but the referee was hit in the face and Page hit the Lariat, but there was no referee to count.

Page was conflicted about using the belt on Punk as a weapon, but threw the belt down and tried the Buckshot Lariat, but Punk countered with the GTS and pinned Page to win the title.
