Matt Hardy believes that CM Punk is one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time: “This is what he’s made for.”

On this week’s “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy,” Hardy discussed CM Punk’s return to wrestling.

“For me personally, I’m happy to see Punk back in wrestling,” Hardy said.

“I think CM Punk is just a fantastic pro wrestler. I feel like he belongs in professional wrestling. I give him all the credit in the world for venturing into the UFC. That was unbelievable, he wouldn’t have done it even if he felt like he could have done it. I would not have been so brave or courageous. It took a lot of courage for him to do that.”

“But I’m happy that he’s back in pro wrestling because I feel like when it comes to pro wrestling, that’s exactly what he’s made for. This is what it’s made for,” Matt continued.

“He is one of the best professional wrestlers of all time. For him to come back to AEW and be happy, and once again be driven by such great passion, and have this great show with MJF, and also write these love letters to the legends that paved the way for him and all of us. . I think he’s been great. Punk seems very happy to be back, which is good.”

“I know that towards the end of his WWE career, he was exhausted and miserable. It’s easy for that to happen to you in this industry, especially if you end up in a very strange space. So it’s great to see him back, relaxed, passionate, and really in love with pro wrestling again.”
