NYL vs DAL Dream11 Prediction WNBA Live New York Liberty vs Dallas Wings

NYL vs. DAL Dream11: The WNBA has been in full swing and we are blessed to have this league going (at least I am). The league is different from the NBA in more ways than one can count, but one thing remains the same, you have to make your shots and you have to defend them, plain and simple. With that in mind, let’s jump to the game between the New York Liberty and the Dallas Wings.

The Liberty come into this game off the back of an 86:92 loss to the Fever in the last game, even after Sabrina Ionescu’s excellent 31-point night as the team’s defense collapsed for the second game in a row. On the other hand, the Dallas Wings got their first victory in an excellent 94:86 victory against the Washington Mystics when Arike Ogunbowale had 27 points. Can the Wings do it two in a row?
Host: New York Liberty
Visitors: Dallas Wings

Match schedule: May 15, at 23:30 (+05:30 UTC)
Venue of events: barclays center

NBA projections, statistics and analysis

Two teams with streaks
Arike Ogunbowale has presented two different games. In the first he shot below 25% but in the second he caught fire and made half of 12 3-pointers. For Liberty, it has been Sabrina Ionescu who has been the transformative presence, securing two big nights in three games and production from her will be necessary for Liberty to become a team with at least 50% wins in this league. So yes, both teams have two streak shooters in the lead.

In terms of the supporting cast, the Wings appear to have more shot creators, as Allisha Gray and Marina Mabrey are effective guards alongside Arike, while Thornton and Harrison provide versatility. For Liberty, aside from Ionescu, Guard rotations are iffy in terms of offense and Jocelyn Willoughby may not be the answer in that regard. Natasha Howard has also been ineffective for Liberty, while Stefanie Dolson isn’t the ace-type offensive player. That’s why Liberty’s Laney will need to shoot better.

NBA results, best fantasy basketball picks

Sabrina Ionescu (NYL)
Points: 31
Rebounds: 03
Assists: 07
Steals: 04

Ionescu clicked on 11 of her 20 shots in the last game and is the heartbeat of the Liberty offense, both as a scorer and as a playmaker. I think she’ll be in the 20+ point range and 4+ assist range. She can be selected as a star/pro player in the Dream 11 NBA Fantasy script.
Expected Fantasy Point Range: 29-41

Arike Ogunbowale(DAL)
Points: 27
Rebounds: 04
Assists: 04
Steals: 02
Guard Arike shot 6-for-12 from 3-point range in the last game and his shooting often determines the course of the Wings’ offense. I think he will be in the 18-25 point range.
Expected Fantasy Point Range: 30-41

Natasha Howard (NYL)
Points: 07
Rebounds: 09
Assists: 03
Blocks: 02
Steals: 02

Natasha made just one of her 15 shots in the last game in what was a horrible outing for her, but she provides tremendous defense and rebounding. I expect a range of 12-18 points and 7-11 rebounds.
Expected Fantasy Point Range: 26-40

Allisha Gray (DAL)
Points: 21
Rebounds: 03
Assists: 02
Steals: 03
Blocks: 01
Gray made three of his six 3-pointers in the last game and is an incredible presence for the Wings. He thinks he will be at 12-18 points, 3-6 rebounds and 1-3 steals.
Expected Fantasy Point Range: 23-35

Bethnijah Laney (NYL)
Points: 16
Rebounds: 07
Assists: 03
Steals: 01

Laney shot around 33% in the last game and has struggled to be at a high percentage in the first two games. I think Betnijah can be anywhere from 14-19 points and 4-7 rebounds here.
Expected Fantasy Point Range: 20-32

Isabelle Harrison (DAL)
Points: 15
Rebounds: 10
Assists: 03
Steals: 01
Attacking wing Harrison brings a lot of athleticism and brings a different flavor to the team. I think he will be at 11-16 points, 6-11 rebounds and 1-3 steals.
Expected Fantasy Point Range: 22-35

    Expected Fantasy Point Range: 19-29
  • Jocelyn Willoughby (NYL) had 3ppoints, 3 rebounds in the last game. Jocelyn made one of her three out of three attempts and her minutes have been reduced by Laney’s play. I think she will be in the 4-9 point range.
