PHX vs DAL Dream11 Prediction NBA Live Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks

PHX vs. DAL Dream11: We are in the second round of the Playoffs and as of now there are only eight teams left in the picture. In the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors beat the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1, and in this matchup, the Phoenix Suns will hope the Dallas Mavericks don’t do the same on their floor. Can the Suns fend off an elite defensive team in the Mavs?

The Suns did a great job sealing the Pelicans four-two when Chris Paul unlocked their primetime games. With Booker back in the frame, the Suns look even more formidable and will force the Mavericks to play their best game. The Mavs closed out the Jazz four-two and their defense held the Jazz to 100 or less in four of six games. Although the Mavericks blew out the Jazz, the Suns’ offense is much more efficient and they sure have more to offer in terms of scoring options.

Host: Phoenix Suns
Visitors: Dallas Mavericks

NBA projections, statistics and analysis

Mavericks defense can be challenged

The Mavericks played expert perimeter defense against the Jazz and held them under 30% from 3-point range, which is truly unbelievable. They were also able to contain them in terms of setting up a fast-break game and their defense reflected the results generated during the second half of the season. However, the Jazz didn’t enter the Postseason with great pace and were already struggling with shooting.

The Suns, on the other hand, enter with a brilliant rhythm. Although his own 3-point shot wasn’t working, his midrange and driving game has been spot on. Chris Paul is better than any playmaker in the league and unlike the Jazz, who didn’t have someone who could blaze multiple trails, the Suns can use Paul in many ways as he also continues to put up big points. He will magnetize the opposition defense and that will only make Booker’s life easier, while Ayton can also rack up inside points.

The Suns are also adept at shutting down opponents’ best players. Luka Doncic will have to compete against the length and athleticism of Mikal Bridges, who took down both McCollum and Ingram in recent games, while Ayton helps out brilliantly in the paint. Booker, Paul and Crowder are also strong defenders, so Jalen Brunson will need to bring his A-Game from the last series. Bullock, Finney-Smith and Kleber will be great shooters from the perimeter, while off the bench, Dinwiddie can make a big difference.

Fantasy Related Tips

Chris Paul has done a great job as a facilitator and scorer, emerging as the top pick in the fantasy setting. But we can not ignore Devin Booker, who can animate great nights. Deandre Ayton has been a spectacular stabilizer, while Mikal Bridges brings high value for decent credit value. Cameron Johnson and Jae Crower produce generally identical fantasy values, so we need to take a lot from Game 1 to better understand the dynamic.

The main player for the Mavericks is still Luka Doncic, who is one of the highest performing players when it comes to the fantasy scene. Jalen Brunson has skyrocketed in terms of actions through his brilliant scoring. On the other hand, Dorian Finney-Smith’s stock is up and he is the third-best option on the team so far. Reggie Bullock has been a more than decent presence, while Maxi Kleber has had some strong nights.

Devin Booker (PHX)
Points: 15
Rebounds: 05

Two-Guard Booker shot just 1/6 from 3-point range in the last game and that’s understandable since he missed four games due to injury. I expect a range of 24-29 points and 4-7 rebounds/assists.
Expected Fantasy Point Range: 30-45

  • Mikal Bridges (PHX) had 18 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 robberies in the last game. Wing Mikal shot 7/12 in the last game and is having a brilliant season on both ends of the floor. I expect a range of 12-18 points here.

    Expected Fantasy Point Range: 9-18
  • Cameron Johnson (PHX) had 13 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 robbery in the last game. Johnson shot 4/7 in the last game and will be important on both ends of the floor. I expect him to be in the range of 10-16 points and 2-5 rebounds.
