Prachi made history, becoming the first Indian to win a canoe medal at the Paralympic World Cup

Canadian Brianna Hennessy was ahead of Prachi. She won silver with a time of 1:01.58 seconds. Australian Suzanne Saipel won gold with a time of 1:01.54 seconds. This is India’s best performance in kayaking and canoeing. The tournament started on May 26.

Training with special permission even in Lockdown

Prachi Yadav has undergone rigorous training for the past four years in a small pond. Prachi had also continued his training at Lockdown with special permission. Prachi’s coach, Mayank Thakur, expressed his happiness at his performance. Prachi has a lot of hard work. He focuses all of his attention on the game, Thakur said.

Manjit Singh makes it to the final

In the men’s 200m KVL 2 event, Manjit Singh reached the final. Another athlete, Jaideep, also competed in the VL3 event in the 200m race. Jaideep also managed to reach the semi-finals.
